We are a registered non-profitable Welfare Organization based in Pietermaritzburg ( KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa) Registration Number – (002-118 NPO).

We are currently celebrating a 160 years of existence. We are one of the oldest Welfare Organizations in South Africa which was established in 1861 by Lady ST. Goerge; who saw a need to assist families who were destitute and in much desperation for help.

She started her venture off in a room in the old Greys Hospital assisting about 5 to 6 families a month. It has ever since grown to us assisting between 180 TO 200 families on a monthly basis.

This place a very huge financial strain on our society and therefore we need all the help and assistance possible that we can get from Businesses, Trusts and the public out there.

We fundraise by sending out letters of appeal to businesses requesting any assistance. We can even use food items in damaged packaging, as we can repack it ourselves.

On many occasions we try also to hold street collections and raffles to fundraise.

Fundraising is always a difficult task and we need all the help we can get.
